How much you get
Everyone at Fairhaven Group starts on 22 days of paid time off per year, plus public holidays. This rises to 25 days after three full years of service, and 28 days after six.
Part-time staff get the same allowance pro-rated to their contracted hours. If you work three days a week, your allowance is 13 days.
When it resets
The leave year runs from 1 January to 31 December. You may carry over up to 5 unused days into the following year, and carried days must be used by 31 March or they lapse.
Booking it
Requests go to your line manager, who has five working days to respond.
Anything longer than 10 consecutive days needs 6 weeks' notice.
We cap the team at 30% of people off at once, so book early around school holidays.
Leaving
Unused days are paid out on your final payslip, pro-rated to your leaving date. If you have taken more than you accrued, the balance is deducted.

Most questions never get asked because nobody wants to interrupt a manager, or ask the same thing twice. Putting the answer in Slack removes the social cost entirely — someone can message OmniPie privately, or mention it in a channel so the whole team sees the answer. Your admin installs it once; nobody signs up individually.
